For exceptional performance, bravery, and gallantry during combat operation which are of lesser degree than required for the award of the Silver Star.

Bear Force Silver Star

For extraordinary performance, bravery, and gallantry under fire. The required gallantry, while of a lesser degree than that required for award of the Distinguished Service Cross, must nevertheless have been performed with marked distinction.

Bear Force Valorous Unit Award

The unit must have performed with marked distinction under difficult and hazardous conditions in accomplishing its mission so as to set it apart from the other units participating in the same operation. The degree of heroism required is the same as that which would warrant award of the Silver Star to an individual.

Combat Efficiency Award

Awarded in 4 different classes. Describes the soldiers lethality rate.

BF Distinguished Service Medal

The Distinguished Service Medal is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity with the Bear Force Counter Terrorist Unit, has distinguished himself or herself by exceptionally meritorious service to the Government in a duty of great responsibility. The performance must be such as to merit recognition for service which is clearly exceptional. Exceptional performance of normal duty will not alone justify an award of this decoration.
