Teemu Selanne and Anaheim Ducks end their Season

Anaheim Ducks didn't make it to the second round on the NHL Playoffs 2011, Anaheim managed to win 2 games but dropped from the next round against Nashville who took the series 4-2.

Teemu Selanne (40) had a great regular season, he ranked 8th on NHL in season statistics with points. (G: 31 A: 49 P: 80) the playoffs did not slow him down neither with 6 goals and 1 assist. He was the leading goal scorer on the playoffs when Anaheim lost it's final match.

We want to thank Teemu for this great season and at the same time realize this was probably his last. With 40 years of age and making 80 points ranking 8th on the statistics makes him truly a superior hockey player. We here at Bear Force CT Unit salute Teemu for everything his done during this and previous seasons of his career and hope him all the best, what ever he decides to do.

After the playoff series against Nashville, Anaheim Ducks Coach R. Carlyle said:

"Nobody tried harder, nobody cared more, nobody did more in this series than Teemu Selanne."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGaM-vmIA0U
Today Finland celebrates it's 93rd independence day. Finland declared independence on 6th of December 1917 from the Russian Empire. After that there have been very difficult times when our independence was seriously threatened. Finland prevailed from all of these attempts and today in the year 2010 we can proudly live in a sovereign country.

.bf personnel offers our utmost gratitute and respect to the veterans who fought so hard to keep this country free.

.bf ends official operations

It has been roughly 6 months since the unit last deployed to a battle. We have seen alot of combat since the Unit was founded in 2004, today the command staff announced that Bear Force CT Unit has ended it's AA2 official operations. There are few reasons for this, one is that many of our soldiers are on hiatus from the game and most of all, the game itself is not what it used to be. Maybe one day .bf will return, but for now we are no longer actively taking part in combat operations.

If anyone is interested in our wars, please be sure to check the Combat History page.

Bear Force CT Unit Officers answer the call

After some break we had a match on TWL 2v2 Ladder against an opponent whom we have faced quite few times recently. The matches have been close but recently the opponent has taken a "slight" beating.

Today we played on Pipeline and it wasn't that much different than our previous encounter. We played on defense first and took care of all six rounds moving to assault with a 6-0 lead. Our first Assault round was well coordinated and the opfor didnt have a chance. We won our first assault round making the score 7-0 and after that the opponent had enough and left the server.

Kills

MAJ Nooz - 7
CPT PolluxTroy - 7
.bf Wins in TWL 2v2 Objective

Last evening we faced an opponent who had given us hard time recently. Each time the venue of the battle was not in favour of us. This time it was bit more "balanced."

The battle took place in Weapons Cache and Captain PolluxTroy and Master Sergeant Zero were eager to see it through. When 12 rounds were played the score was quite clear, we had secured a 10-2 Win from our opponent.

Kills

CPT PolluxTroy - 7
MSG Zero - 12

GJ
